Gerontology education and awareness trainings are designed to dispel myths and misinterpretations about the aging process. Courses will cover basic gerontological concepts from a beginner’s learning perspective. Learning outcomes for each course will:

  • Increase the awareness and prevalence of health disparities and chronic disease among older adults

  • Support families, caregivers, and older adults in making informed decisions

  • Increase awareness of community resources and senior service programs

  • Increase knowledge of the social determinants of health
